Unity Rally

Unity Rally 09 023RAlthough the rains cut short today’s rally, there was a good crowd on hand to hear from our electeds and candidates.  Here are a few shots. (Click to enlarge.) Also, for a good writeup of the event, check out the College of William & Mary’s newspaper, The Flat Hat.

PS – I thought this was supposed to be a Unity Rally? Where in the heck were Moran and McAuliffe?

About Vivian J. Paige

A former candidate, I've learned a lot about politics, both good and bad. I'd prefer more of the former and a lot less of the latter and I'm trying to do my part!

  1. Unity among the losing candidates was on Wednesday. I don’t know about Brian, but Terry left Wed evening for some vacation time with Dorothy and the kids, whom he had not seen that much during almost 6 months straight of campaigning.

He will be out on the road for the campaign, and shaking the money tree. Never fear.

    • Then this should not have been billed as a Unity Rally.

      • Exactly – it should not have been billed as a Unity Rally! Let alone while down at Williamsburg on Saturday I found big scatche marks all over my car because I did’nt have the chance to remove my candidates bumper stickers. Some unity…more like sore sports out there.

Woah, there, Steve Shannon. The memo clearly said “light” blue shirts.

And Jody? Honey, it’s a nice enough polo, surely more interesting than the traditional American male outfit of a light blue shirt and khakis, but the rally was about unity, not “everyone dresses exactly alike so we can appreciate how cute a color that is on Jody.” :)

Of course, I used to show up to Jim Webb’s campaign HQ in cowboy boots (and sit with my feet up on the desk I was working at), so, you know…y’all shouldn’t listen to me.
