On the right hand side of this blog, you will note a new feature: Recent postings from Virginia Political Blogs. Thanks to Waldo Judith, some 85 Virginia political blogs have been aggregated into a single website, Virginia Political Blogs. You can visit this site directly see current postings from all the included blogs at a glance. Or, you can do as I did: add the RSS feed into your RSS reader of choice.
I appreciate Waldo’s efforts in bringing all of the bloggers – conservative, progressive and liberal – into one place.
It’s wonderful that you’ve syndicated the most recent entries into a sidebar on your site. You set a great example for all of us!
It wouldn’t have been possible without your aggregator. Due to limitations of Word Press, I am unable to use the Lefty Blogs thingee to show those posts. (I have requested that they have an RSS feed.)
I’m thinking of dropping from my blog roll anybody that is in the aggregator and increasing the number of posts I am able to show thru the RSS feed.
Vivian, you’re talking to a computer challenged indvidual, but are you saying all we have to do is just the RSS feed, which is?!?
Mimi
OK, let me see if I can help. In order to use the RSS feed, you have to have some kind of RSS reader, like Bloglines or something. Here at WordPress.com, we have a sidebar widget that acts as an RSS reader. So all I had to do was to add the feed (which looks like a regular url as far as a link goes but actually contains a bunch of code that I don’t pretend to understand 😦 ) to the reader.
I see you are using Blogger so what you want to look for is some kind of RSS reader add-in for it. I did a quick look over there but I didn’t see anything so you may not be able to do it.
WOW, WALDO ROCKS! Would you mind cross-posting this on my blog? Shoot me an email if you get a chance.
James: I sent you an email.
