Great piece in the Washington Post on Hillary Clinton.
Hillary Clinton has a few problems if she wants to secure the 2008 Democratic presidential nomination. She is a leader who fails to lead. She does not appear “electable.” But most of all, Hillary has a Bill Clinton problem.
Hat tip to Corey for this.
Hillary is just unelectable. Plus, she’s too much of an insider. Carter was appealing because he looked like a Washington outsider. Reagan was appealing because he looked like a Wahington outsider. Clinton was appealing for the same reason. Same with the second Bush. Four out of the past five Presidents have been Governors. Why? Because Governor’s don’t appear to have that “Washington Corruption.” That’s why Warner is such a good option.
