Just completed my registration form for the Sorensen Intitute for Political Leadership Summit on Blogging and Democracy in the Commonwealth (that's a mouthful ) and the check is in the mail. So the only question is where is everybody going to stay? On my last trip to C'ville, I stayed at the Hampton Inn, which … Continue reading Blog Summit: I’ll be there

7th District: count yourselves lucky

Over at Not Larry Sabato, there is a conversation about what's going on in the 7th District. Seems the only candidate who has qualified for the Democratic convention is a nudist, Brad Blanton. The folks in the 7th should be glad they don't have to deal with this guy: Democratic Party leaders are wondering what … Continue reading 7th District: count yourselves lucky

Taxes deferred will carry … Continue reading More on Norfolk real estate tax deferral

The explanation was approved by the committee on a 12-6 vote (nays: Scott, Brink, Alexander, Sickles, Dance, Englin) despite … Continue reading Update: Explanation of amendment

On Friday, May 19, President George Bush will be in Virginia Beach for a $5,000 per-person fundraiser for Rep. Thelma Drake. The invitation-only luncheon will be held at the home of Eleanor and Bob Stanton.
