“Some people say I’m wonky,” he acknowledged.
The front page of the Virginian-Pilot today has a profile on Democrat senate candidate Harris Miller. The article neither hurts nor helps Miller nor does it give enough information to help undecided voters make up their minds. Such is the norm for the Pilot’s reporting. They rarely do any kind of in-depth reporting, relying on quotes from the candidate and those around them for the information, and the recycling of old information. The very serious charge of outsourcing is barely mentioned.
There is one thing mentioned that I totally agree with:
“… George Allen just turned out to be a disaster.”
I do believe we have a chance to unseat George Allen in the fall. Not a tremendous chance, but a chance nonetheless. And Miller has his ground game going in full throttle. I watched heads nodding in agreement as he spoke at my party last weekend. A number of people have asked for his signs. And, by the way, not a single Webb sticker was to be seen at the party.
If Jim Webb wants this thing, he better get moving.
