It is hard not to chuckle.
She seems very earnest on her issue.
My favorites:
“James, neither of the two candidates you mention advocate for Rail. I would have no one to vote for if they were the only candidates running.”
Question: “How would you have voted on the federal marriage amendment?”
Answer: This campaign is about positive solutions, faith and values. We are about uniting folks to build rail… We need to unite to build Rail…We need an alternative way to move people and goods. We can only do that if we are united to build Rail.”
What, are our local Gay Straight Alliances supposed to go out on the weekends and build some RAIL in fabulous rainbow colors? Did I miss the RainRAIL Coalition meet up? Are the lesbians going to go out on some kind of task force to build RAIL while the gay men talk about how the interiors of the trains are gonna look? “No, darling, you cannot use velvet. That is so just not fabulous. Red plush? So yesterday. ”
I’m sorry, I couldn’t resist, Ms. Parker.
I applaud Ms. Parker for running and for live blogging. I only ask that any candidate – especially one for the US Senate – have an opinion on the topics of the day. How else can voters know who to vote for?
Et tu Vivian?!?!? ;>
I guess she must have stock in some RAIL companies.
