Drake/Kellam Town Hall Meeting 7/22

Coming up this Saturday morning, 2nd congressional district Republican Congresswoman Thelma Drake and Democratic challenger Phil Kellam will appear at a Town Hall Meeting, hosted by the Virginia Beach Taxpayer Alliance. The Town Hall meeting will be held in the Terrace Room of the Marian Manor Retirement Center. Coffee and pastries will be available at 8:30 a.m. ($2) and the meeting will begin promptly at 9 a.m. Joel Rubin will serve as moderator. The event is scheduled for 90 minutes.

The organizers insist that this is not a debate. Attendees will be given a card with a number on it as they enter the room. This card will be held up by a person if they have a question to ask. The number on the card will be written down by the moderator so that they can be recognized in the order in which each hand was raised.

Directions to Marian Manor: The Marian Manor Retirement Center is on Marian Lane, just off Clearfield Street, which runs between Virginia Beach Blvd., and Cleveland Street and is behind St. Gregory’s Church, which is across from Haynes Furniture. Go in the front entrance and straight back to the end of the building into the Terrace Room.

  1. Is this the one to replace the forum that Kellam didn’t attend because he was attending the event in Charlottesville that he wasn’t attending either?
