Former Christian Coalition Exec Reed loses primary

Ralph Reed, who presided over the Christian Coalition (formerly based in Chesapeake) in its heyday has lost his bid to become the Republican nominee for Lt. Gov. in Georgia. Reed, who left the Coalition and started his own consulting firm, was at one time considered a rising star in the Republican Party and was the former Georgian Republican Party chairman. Reed’s loss can likely be traced to his ties to disgraced lobbyist Jack Abramoff. (I’m betting Reed is a Double High.)

For a background on Reed, check out the postings at Moral Contradictions. Nathan has done an excellent job of compiling this information.

In other news, George Wallace Jr. has become a three-time loser, this time losing a Republican runoff in Alabama, also for Lt. Gov.

  1. Happy days are here again.

I’m so glad Ralph is no longer a Virginian. I wish Pat Robertson would join him in Georgia. But then again I have friends in Atlanta that would not be happy about that.

I had to get up to “check” a friend’s sick puppy….so I decided to take a moment to blog and look around… How sweet it is! I pray this is just the beginning of what we are going to see come November.
