Here’s what’s coming up for the Norfolk City Democratic Committee:
Tonight – regular business meeting – 7 pm at the Norfolk Fire & Training Center, Granby and Thole Streets. This monthly meeting is held on the first Wednesday each month.
This Saturday – monthly breakfast meeting – 8:30 am, Friendly’s Restaurant, Janaf – $8. This monthly meeting is held the first Saturday of each month.
Tuesday, August 15 – Panel discussion “November Elections – Big Chance for a Clean Sweep!” – 6 pm at ODU’s Ted Constant Center – $25. Panel will be moderated by Joel Rubin and will include 3rd District Congressman Bobby Scott. Tickets are $25. Contact Betsy for reservations.

I sure hope that Bobby Scott and crew are paying to rent the convocation center, we all know the ODU’s President Runte is a committed Democrat who has donated $1000 to Forward Together PAC (Mark Warner). I would not be surprised if she lets them use it for free.
I have no idea who is paying for the Ted. I guess I’ll find out tonight at the meeting.
