Partisans PAC Fundraiser

Last year, the Virginia Partisans enthusiastically supported my candidacy for Treasurer. Their support was featured in the now infamous “flier incident” that was used to smear me during the campaign (the source of which was never determined). Like last year, I will be making the trip to Northern Virginia next week to participate in their annual PAC BBQ Fundraiser.

Last year’s event featured gubernatorial candidate, now governor Tim Kaine and lieutenant governor candidate Leslie Byrne. Elected officials and candidates from all over the region attended. This year’s event, scheduled for Thursday, August 31 at 6:30 pm in Falls Church (email me for more details) will feature former governor and presidential aspirant Mark Warner.

This is the largest fundraising event the Partisans host each year. From the announcement I received:

Our contributions ONLY go to candidates who stand with us against the constitutional amendment, support employment non-discrimination, support hate crimes protection, and believe in the right to privacy and inclusion. EVERY SINGLE WINNING CANDIDATE THE PARTISANS ENDORSED IN 2005 FOR HOUSE OF DELEGATES VOTED AGAINST MARSHALL/NEWMAN. EVERY SINGLE WINNING CANDIDATE THE PARTISANS ENDORSED FOR STATE SENATE IN 2003 VOTED AGAINST MARSHALL/NEWMAN. This is the best investment you can make in a Virginia that lives up to the ideals of our founders.

• $100 Host
• $50 Supporter (suggested individual minimum)
• $25 Young Democrat
