Thanks Vivian for mastering Ipod technoeze for us- no easy task! It’s interesting to hear Thelma Drake’s take of the issues. Seems like I heard a little tap dancing a couple of times. Was that Thelma toe-stepping some issues?
But there is a big element missing from this recording and report. That missing element is your views and comments of such events… You are an excellent translater of Republician “double-speak”. Please keep adding your opinions and comments.
BS – the podcast was so long that I didn’t want to add to it by making it longer. The main difference between this one and the first one I attended was the crowd and not the content. The first one, the crowd was more contentious, whereas this one was overwhelmingly a Drake crowd. I would say that not more than 3 or 4 people there disagreed with her positions on most things. The earlier crowd was smaller and much more balanced.
Vivian….
you rock with these podcasts gf!
BTW, you would have enjoyed the 8/18/06 crowd gathered for Tra La La in Va Beach…definitely quite a few dissenters there.
It’s amazing that no one brings up how the pharmaceutical companies are the ones that wrote this medicare drug bill and it really gives them some major profits over the next 10 years at everyone’s expense….except Thelma of course…she got to rake in some big campaign dollars from the big pharms….
But she sure is good at public speaking isn’t she….
I hope you guys caught her on Joel Rubin’s “On the Record” this morning. Next week – Phil Kellam.
