Laura raises $150,000 for Thelma

According to this article, this morning’s fundraiser for Republican incumbent Congresswoman Thelma Drake, featuring Laura Bush, raised $150,000.

I understand Kellam was campigning on the Eastern Shore today, so expect to hear from him on this later.

  2. Thelma has more than twice Kellam’s money by now….Thelma can’t rely on her record so she’s trying to buy the house seat with ads that won’t be about her record.

    Laura Bush is a disappointment. Why is she wasting time raising money for a candidate who already has too much money.

    Laura’s time would be better spent doing fundraisers for Katrina survivors and Iraq wounded vets and their families. Help out the victims of her hubby’s policies would have more merit than supporting Thelma and other rubber stamps of Bush’s failed policies.

    But Thelma is going to lose so let them both waste their time and energy…the excess campaign money will give Thelma a bigger retirment fund to go home with.
