  1. Very encouraging. The Wall Street Journal has decidedly a conservative lean, and this is outside of the margin of error.

As if we didn’t already expect it, I guess this means it’s time for Allen to get really ugly. Cheney on Meet the Press seemed even pleasantly looking forward to an ugly, divisive campaign.

  2. Hi Vivian,

This “online” poll method has been questioned by numerous critics, and Mr. Zogby has an axe to grind with Wadhams. I took the poll on September 1st after being asked to take the poll via an email. I did my duty by voting D. You can even enlist yourself to take future Zogby polls. Go here:

The skinny is that a lot of returning college students got word to enroll. I have no evidence of that, but it does not really surprise me. However, a friend took the Mason-Dixon poll last Wednesday. I think it is safe to assume that MD is more recent, and probably more accurate. I say lets wait for the Rasmusen poll. They may do one this week, but I suspect they will do the poll right after the MTP debate next Sunday. Let’s wait one more week to see if we should start celebrating.

  3. I’m not celebrating, but I think this poll pretty much proves that this race is neck-and-neck, and Webb’s got the momentum. I too doubt this poll’s accuracy, but I definitely do not doubt Zogby’s integrity. No matter what Axe he has to grind with Wadhams, he’s not risking his credibility just to go after him. I’d say that this poll holds SOME truths (that Webb people are motivated, Allen people aren’t). Leads to some insight on why Allen is trying to stir up his base with this Nancy Reagan thing.

No, I definitely don’t think Webb’s up 7 points. But I think he’s definitely right up there with Allen, maybe only 2 or 3 points back.

  4. Go Webb !!! So what if the Gipper liked him? Seems everybody does. We need a few more good old Southern Democratic Senators. New Deal coalition is back!!! Happy Days are Here Again !!!

  5. Can this really be true? I am sceptical….and I really like Webb.

I am not complaining though. Hech, i’ll be happy if Webb gets only one more vote than Allen on Nov. 7.
