Senate race update

Stay away from the web for a day and you miss a bunch of stuff. Here’s a quick roundup on today’s events:

Rasmussen poll

NLS is reporting that this poll shows Allen leading Webb 50% to 43%. The poll information is only available to subscribers.

Survey USA

This poll shows Allen ahead 48% to 45%, well within the 4.6% margin of error.

(The poll also looked at the Marshall Newman amendment. Asking about only the first part of the amendment, 68% supported the amendment while 29% were opposed. This part of the poll had a margin of error of +/- 4.3%.)

Looking closely at this poll, it was only of 467 likely voters. I wonder if the poll was too small a sample.

Female Navy Grads

Five females who graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy said that Webb “fostered an air of hostility and harassment for them.”

An organization called VoteVets released an ad claiming that Allen voted against a bill which would have provided body armor for soldiers.
