OK, so I stole the title but what’s that they say about imitation and flattery? 😆 Seriously, head over and read the article with this title by the conservative “The Weekly Standard” and then tell me that George Allen is going to be the Republican candidate for president.
I saw my first George Allen signs yesterday (two almost side by side), the only ones I’ve seen so far. And my neighbor down the street, who is usually the first one to have her candidates’ signs out (she had a Michael Ball sign the day after Thelma Drake was elected to Congress), doesn’t have one in her yard.
Hmm. Maybe not senator, either.

Hmm, that’s funny, because I have seen more George Allen signs here in northern Virginia than Webb signs.

Webb has no signs in HR — or anywhere else for that matter. Vivian, I wouldn’t speculate about a Senate race based on a neighbor’s lack of yardsign. Grow up. BTW – Webb calls the Naval Academy a horny woman’s dream and calls female cadets “thunder thights” and you say nothing about it and even entertain voting for him? Have you no respect woman? My God. You are a Yellow Dog.

I’ve seen lots of Allen signs in Alexandria, but I’ve been told that the Republicans living in certain parts of Alexandria like to go all out and overboard in terms of signage, just because they are a minority, politically speaking, in the area. I don’t know if that’s actually true, just what someone told me.
I have a Webb sign in my front yard. It’s one of the old school ones that says “Born Fighting,” mainly becuase it sat in the trunk of my car from May until mid-August (Me: “Hmm, I should put that out.” Two days later-“hmm, that would be more useful outside the trunk…” two weeks later…”) and I feel like I should get some use out of it. 🙂
I’ve seen Webb signs available at events for people to take. And I saw one in Eileen’s yard Saturday.
I saw several Allen signs posted on Route 58 to Emporia Friday. Wonder how many have been posted and later taken down? Haven’t seen the first Webb sign yet! If I can get one I’d be glad to post it.
