Vote NO: talk about Ballot #1

Last night, I got one of the new Vote NO yard signs. I live at the end of a culdesac so there is little traffic down here. But, we’ve been having sewer work done in my neighborhood for the last six months. This morning, as I left for my walk, several of the contractors were out front. Because they have been in my neighborhood so long, we’re always friendly. So when they yelled at me as I was tearing out of the driveway (late as usual to meet my walking partner), I stopped and backed up. They wanted to know “Vote No about what?” I took a few minutes and talked to them about the Marshall Newman amendment and its far-reaching effects.

The five of them pledged to Vote NO!

What have you done to help defeat the amendment today? Volunteer or donate. And take every opportunity to talk about it with your friends, neighbors, co-workers, and yes, strangers.

  1. I want to second Mosquito’s message —- GREAT work, Vivian!!!!!!! You most definitely deserve credit for all the hard work you’ve done to ensure that this inappriopriate amendment is not passed. Keep it up.

  2. I do what I can. All I ask is others do the same. I know there are all kinds of demands on our time, but this is just too important an issue to allow this amendment to pass without a fight.

  3. Vivian… tremendous. Yard signs are also available at the Richmond HQ (info@votenova.org) and the NOVA HQ (laura@voteNOva.org).

Plenty o’ bumper stickers, too, in 3 varieties. Read it All, VOTE NO. My Faith Tells me to VOTE NO and VOTE NO for Equality (an EV sticker).

Like Vivian said… tell a friend.

  4. I can only find a link to cafepress for one kind of “vote no” sticker/t-shirt. Where can I find the “My Faith” bumper sticker?

I live in rural Hanover county and the number of yellow “vote yes” yard signs up and down our country road makes me want to cry.

  5. Laura – I sent you an email on this. The “My Faith” bumper stickers are available by calling the CC HQ in Richmond. I don’t like to post phone numbers so if anyone else wants one, email me for the number.
