The Washington Post has the story.
The Rasmussen poll also is being released. It shows Allen leading Webb 47% to 44%. I’ll have more on that poll once I get the crosstabs.

I would love to see the internals, crosstabs, on the Washington Post poll. In their last poll they overpolled democrats by 10%. They also overpolled the younger vote.
It makes no sense to me that Allen could be getting more votes from women but only leading by 2%. If Webb can’t carry women voters, he’s sunk.
Allen is something like 20% down in NOVA, that’s been the issue. Webb has to hold what women he can.
I do hope that Webb isn’t counting on winning NOVA by 14%. Democrats have a way of not showing up at the polls, particularly if it rains that day.
The Washington Post poll said that Allen supporters were more excited about him, and voting FOR him, while Webb supporters were not as fond of their candidate but wanted to vote AGAINST Bush and Allen. Those voters are also less likely to show up at the polls. Throw in the religious voters who will turn out to vote for the marriage amendment and things look fine for Allen. imo
I pray every day and every night that Webb wins this race. How can you vote for a racist bigot like George Allen and then look your children in the eye. And stop with the homophobia everybody. Enough Republican BS and lies.
