The Virginia Progressive has compiled a list of the campaign finance reports for all of the races in Virginia. The highlights for Hampton Roads:
US Senate
- Sen. George Allen- Raised $1.9 million with $5.5 million on hand.
- James Webb- Raised $3.3 million with $2.7 million on hand.
1st District
- Rep. Jo Ann Davis (R)- Raised $101,075 with $241,121 on hand.
- Shawn O’Donnell (D)- Raised $36,359 with $10,648 on hand.
2nd District

In all casees, the Republican incumbents are well-positioned for the push for the final three weeks of the campaign. I expect we’ll be seeing a few more TV ads. (I have to admit – I haven’t seen any ads from the 1st District.)
The reports for the campaigns can be seen here, although as of this writing, the Senate race reports are not available.
In other news, the Commonwealth Coalition filed their report today. According to the press release:
The Commonwealth Coalition reported today having raised $445,43.33 in total contributions (cash and in-kind) during the reporting period (September 1, 2006 through September 30, 2006) and showed an ending balance after expenditures of $370,772.65.
[…]
Large contribution reports filed since the reporting period ended on September 30th show that in the last two weeks The Coalition has received $25,000 each from Mark Warner’s One Virginia PAC and the Human Rights Campaign and $10,000 from Richmond businessman Ivor Massey.
While this is good news, the Commonwealth Coalition still needs your support to defeat the amendment. Volunteer and contribute today.
