The first meeting of the Norfolk chapter of Drinking Liberally will be held tonight upstairs at the New Belmont (2117 Colonial Avenue in Ghent) from 5 – 7 pm.
Head on over and get together with like-minded individuals to trade ideas, get more involved, and simply enjoy each other’s company.

FYI… Chris Jaramillo and I will host the first of what will hopefully be many more to come “Dinner and a Movie” events at The Jewish Mother, 31st and Pacific Avenues down in oceanfront Virginia Beach, starting at 7:00 p.m. The event is free, but you pay for whatever it is you want to eat/drink. The movie first up is 9/11 Press for Truth. If time and interest allow, we will also present Iraq for Sale: the War Profiteers. Otherwise, Iraq for Sale will be the first up film at a subsequent “Dinner and a Movie” evening on Tuesday, Nov. 14th, again at The Jewish Mother. Chris has Tuesday’s booked for us at least through the rest of 2006. This will lead to us hopefully starting a Drinking Liberally chapter here in Virginia Beach! Jewish Mother is a great restaurant and what could be better! A beer, great food, liberal politics and a great flick to get you fired up. For as is the goal of Drinking Liberally… “promoting democracy one pint at a time”.
