There have been some changes in the location of voting polls in the City of Virginia Beach, as follows:
- Red Wing Precinct – moved from Birdneck Elementary to the Fraternal Order of Police Lodge #8, 961 S. Birdneck Rd
- Brookwood Precinct – moved from Brookwood Elementary to the Bow Creek Recreation Center, 3427 Clubhouse Rd
- Bay Island area – moved out of the Great Neck precinct into the Colony Precinct, which is located at Lynnhaven Colony Congregational Church, 2217 W. Great Neck Rd
- Davis Corner Precinct – this has been divided along Wesleyan Drive. The new precinct, which covers the area north of Wesleyan Drive, is called Haygood and is located at Haygood United Methodist Church, 4713 Haygood Rd
All the other polling locations remain the same. Make sure you know where to vote. If you have any doubts, use this to check your location.
Thank you for putting this information out.
The fact that Virginia Beach as well as many areas of Virginia is so transient with it’s new people both military and civilian. It would be nice to list by area code where they should have registered and where there polling station(s) are.
To say that these are the changes and all others remain the same is shameful. Reminds me of visiting an old country town and asking directions and told go down past where the old what ever use to be and turn Left/right.
My point is how would new people know where the polling places are that are not changing, thanks for adding the changes.
It could be worse — when I first voted in Virginia Beach, we had to go from Kempsville to the courthouse to vote (on punchcards, of course).
Whoa! This information is TWO YEARS OLD! Please check with the Virginia Beach registrar to be sure of your voting location.
