Tomorrow, November 18, the League of Women Voters of South Hampton Roads will hold a forum on the subject of redistricting and reapportionment. The forum will feature Senator Yvonne Miller Dr. Rudolph Wilson from NSU Political Science Department and will be held from 9:00am to 10:15am at Virginia Wesleyan College, Boyd East. The forum is open to the public.
After the forum, there will be a members-only meeting (starting at 10:30) in which consensus questions from the LWV-VA will be addressed. The state League is in the midst of a two-year study on the issue and has amassed quite a bit of information.
I see that others in the blogsphere have recognized the importance of this topic. Join us tomorrow for more information.
UPDATE: The speaker for the forum has been changed.
Way to keep that non-partisanship going….feature a Democrat
Actually, the speaker has changed. Not that it would matter to a partisan such as yourself.
Partisan? moi?
Rudy is a Dem Party hack and everyone knows it. Why does LWV even bother to pretend that its non-partisan? Oh yeah! The tax free status. Of course.
Both of you – what’s your point? The forum was about redistricting, for goodness sake. What is partisan about that?
Our membership is certainly not partisan.
