In case you have been under – as I have been – you may not be aware of the case of Michael Richards, aka “Kramer” from the hit TV show Seinfeld. Last Friday, Richards was performing a stand up comedy routine and some folks were heckling him. Richards seems to have lost it, and hurled some pretty bad language at the hecklers, including the n-word. The video of the event can be seen here. It looks like he offended quite a few people; the video shows folks leaving the show. Richards appeared via satellite on The Late Show with David Letterman and apologized.
As I was driving to and from a fundraiser for Lionell Spruill tonight (more on that later), the talk radio programs were all abuzz about this. A couple of points that I heard:
- Richards’ use of the n-word wouldn’t have been offensive if he had been black
- Left-wing elitists such as Richards are all racists underneath
On the first point, let me reiterate what I’ve said before: the n-word is offensive to me regardless of whether the speaker is black or white. On the second point, I don’t believe that everyone – left or right – is racist.
I do find it troublesome that Richards struck back at his hecklers by using a racial slur. Surely he could have come up with something else. For that matter, as a stand up comedian, I would think he was used to hecklers.

The knowledge your fathers stole from Africa, you didn’t have the intelligence to fully understand. Michael Richards a.k.a Kramer is only the tip of the iceberg. There are millions of white Americans and whites across the world that feel that way. Second, when you speak of rap music… A little history for you stupid David Duke repeating idiots: Rap music started out as uplifting the Black condition in the world. As soon as white children started buying rap, the so-called ‘gangsta rap’ became the dominate rap format. There were many more positive rap groups back when rap was really Black music. Non-blacks buy 80%+ of rap music for the last 13 years or so. Your children drive the market by dollars, rap is commercial (white washed) so to reference it is silly. By reading the comments posted it again proves whites are not that intelligent, whites relied on evil and technology to gain the upper hand on other races. Still, Newton did say he only saw farther because he stood on the shoulders of giants. I was under the impression, though, that most of those giants were Muslim.

I spoke of no “petty crimes.” Or do you consider murder a petty crime? You may also be interested to know that the majority of Hispanics are classified as White for these tables. When that is factored out, the murder rate for Black victims is about 18 per 100,000; for Hispanic victims, about 9 per 100,000; and for non-hispanic White victims, about 2 per 100,000. Is that really what your fathers taught you?
What resources do we horde? The usual accusation is that we use too many resources.
What “civilizations” do you mean? Aside from Egypt, did any African civilization even forge iron? (I am a bit confused. Are you Egyptian, or Black? They are not the same, you know.)

All you need to do is teach Blacks how to behave in theaters, live theaters and movies. As long as blacks have to ruin every movie, particularly scary movies, when they have to carry on a running dialogue, throughout every movie, Blacks will continue to piss off people who are in those theaters and preforming in theaters. Not to say that Richards was justified in his hatred, but I’m telling you why Blacks irritate the hell out of the rest of us. HINT: Shut the F up when you are in a public place with other people who are trying to enjoy a performance or a movie. The rest of the audience doesn’t want to hear your dumb comments. If you MUST speak out during movies and performances, please, please, please, consider purchasing a home theater system. so that the rest of us can enjoy movies without having you all shout out during the tense scenes and ruining at least half of every movie with your inane comments.
Manners, just simple manners, and respect for other people. If you don’t give respect to others, you can’t expect to receive it from them either.
For those of you have not tried to watch a movie in a largely black audience, I’d suggest that you don’t, unless it doesn’t bother you to have the movie ruined with their constant talking and shoutouts. It’s a WHOLE different thing, and not a particularly enjoyable experience.
Vivian, your comment about left wing elitists being racists. I agree, they are. They’re better than everyone else, including every minority group.
