The Book Quiz

Doing the tag surfer thing a bit ago, I ran across a blog talking about The Book Quiz. So I took it, with the following result:

You’re Night!
by Elie Wiesel
You’ve had some truly horrific experiences, especially recently, and you can barely stand to discuss them. While many people are afraid of getting close to you because of this, it has also built a fascination and admiration of you that is hard to rival. You know that things are about to get better soon, but that the trauma will be impossible to forget. You are short, but powerful.

Take the Book Quiz at the Blue Pyramid.

Strong-willed but deeply confused, you are trying to come to grips with a major crisis in your life. You can see many different perspectives on the issue, but you’re mostly overwhelmed with despair at what you’ve lost. People often have a hard time understanding you, but they have some vague sense that you must be brilliant anyway. Ultimately, you signify nothing.

Don’t even start with me, Squeaky and VJP… 😉

  2. Took the quiz-I am Love in the Time of Cholera, but got a description that hardly seems like moi…

I guess I was expecting “Tobacco Road” or “The Shad Treatment”…

  3. “You’re Siddhartha! by Hermann Hesse
You simply don’t know what to believe, but you’re willing to try anything once. Western values, Eastern values, hedonism and minimalism, you’ve spent some time in every camp. But you still don’t have any idea what camp you belong in. This makes you an individualist of the highest order, but also really lonely. It’s time to chill out under a tree. And realize that at least you believe in ferries.”

    Ferries?! Like the Jamestown-Scotland Ferry?

  4. CRAP! I am the same as Eileen… OMG I feel as if I need to shoot myself now… Although it may explain a lot 🙂 People of the same mindset on opposing sides tend to be the most contentious! Scary…. Same as Eileen… So ashamed, so ashamed 🙂

Maybe I should read this book. Never have. Anyone else read it? Tell me about it.

  5. Looks like there are a few varieties out there. Great quiz, Vivian.

    You’re Brave New World!
    by Aldous Huxley
With an uncanny ability for predicting the future, you are a true psychic. You can see how the world will change and illuminate the fears of future generations. In the world to come, you see the influence of the media, genetic science, drugs, and class warfare. And while all this might make you happy, you claim the right to be unhappy. While pregnancy might seem painful, test tube babies scare you most. You are obsessed with the word “pneumatic”.
