Another day, another candidate forms an exploratory committee. This time, it’s New Mexico Governor Bill Richardson. The more, the merrier, I guess. Richardson has a website where you can view his video.

With his experience as UN ambassador and secretary of energy, there has been some discussion about him potentially being named Secretary of State. If he is able to lay out some good ideas during this campaign, I think that discussion would increase.
(Sorry for the delay in your comment showing up. It got caught in the spam filter.)
I wonder if he’d be interested. He ruled out the VP slot on “This Week” today, saying he would just stay governor.
I like this guy.
I like the idea of Richardson as Sec of State. I also like the idea of Wes Clark as Sec of Defense. I like Mark Warner as VP (since he’s opted out of the top spot).
We’ll see, about Richardson. First, I think he’s probably a better diplomat than politician (what happened to NM in 04?!) and as has been pointed out elsewhere, he appears to have something of a problem with women.
Bill will have a landslide in the southwest with he hispanic vote, cal.,nevada, new mexico, ari.- bill owns these stats.
