SB 827, which I wrote about here, was defeated yesterday in committee by a 4-10 vote.
One of those voting against the bill was Sen. Mark Obenshain, whose reasoning was explained in this post.
Kudos to Senators Saslaw, Marsh, Howell, and Lucas for voting in favor of this bill.

It seems a shame it failed if it did not impede the ability for law abiding citizens to puchase guns, and it only affected criminals trying to do the same.
Oh, goodness no, it would be awful to put additional pressure on those who deal in deadly instruments . . .
If you can’t bear the costs of regulation in what ought to be a highly regulated industry, you shouldn’t be in the industry.
