One of the folks I had a chance to chat with at the JJ Dinner was Bruce Roemmelt. Reading thru the Lefty Blogs feed, I ran across this post, which jogged my memory a bit. I almost never wear anybody’s stickers or buttons. But Bruce is a special case. Not only did I ask for one of his buttons, I proudly wore it as I moved around. Lots of folks were asking me: who’s Bruce?
What I told them was that Bruce is the guy who is going to rid the General Assembly of bedroom police officer Bob Marshall. Actually, Bruce is a lot more than that. Check out his website and do what you can to help him.

I had a curious conversation with Viola Baskerville on Saturday about this race. She knows me from my Black Out work. She said Bruce’s race is going to take a different approach this time as opposed to the way we approached beating Dick Black. We didn’t have time to expand on this – it was just a quick chat – but I’m wondering what she meant.
