AI: Another four gone

Voted off the show tonight were Nick Pedro, Alaina Alexander, AJ Tabaldo, and Leslie Hunt.

Nick is a crooner who dropped out during Hollywood Week last year. The guy has a beautiful voice, but probably just got lost in the crowd this year. Too many of the male vocalists are sweet-voiced and Nick just didn’t stand out. I have a feeling, though, that we haven’t heard the last of him.

Alaina has a nice voice but she was up against some tough competition. The women, as a whole, are much stronger singers than the men this year.

AJ – what can I say? The kid’s got skills and I have no idea why he got voted off.

The same can be said for Leslie. She can sing – really sing – and should still be there.

Who should have gone? The worst guys were Sanjaya and Sundance – by a mile. The girls are a little harder. Antonella was horrible and I guess Alaina was the weakest of the rest, but even she was better than Sanjaya and Sundance. Too bad they have to vote off equal numbers of males and females. I wonder, though, how much effect on the vote this website is having?

As for Antonella – well, she should be gone anyway. I don’t know what the AI producers are thinking. This article says they have just “shrugged off” the controversy surrounding her. Are the ratings for the show so bad that they have to keep her on?

Now – Kelly Pickler. What in the heck have they done to this girl? They took a sweet, wholesome, girl-next-door lookig girl and turned her into a hoochie-mama!
