Ralph Northam, the Democratic candidate for the 6th Senate district, will be making his official announcement tomorrow at four locations around the district. At the Norfolk press conference, to be held at 12:30pm at Fishing Pier in Oceanview (Corner of 4th View and Oceanview Ave.), Northam will be introduced by Norfolk Sheriff Bob McCabe and Del. Paula Miller, whose 87th district lies in the 6th.
Northam plans to touch on the following campaign issues in his speech:
- Law enforcement funding
- Health care access
- Education
- Saving the Bay
- Controlling skyrocketing property taxes
- Importance of coordination between local and state government
- Transportation
Head on over tomorrow to hear the details of Northam’s stances on these issues. And if you can’t make it or don’t live in the 6th, you can always show your support of his candidacy by sending him a few bucks 🙂 Remember, no amount is too small or too large.

What an extraordinary candidate we have in Ralph Northam! His kickoff speech in Norfolk was outstanding; he left the crowd without doubt that he has the passion, indisputable qualifications, and the desire to represent our community’s needs as our next State Senator. Dr. Northam embodies all that we are and stand for; so his palpable momentum is no surprise, watch out Nick!
What a relief! An educated professional with a history of public service to take on the “FemiNazi” senator. Time for Nick to get a real job.
