A Norview High School graduate who returned to his alma mater to teach, coach and advise students in extracurricular activities was named the school division’s Teacher of the Year on Thursday night.
Tommy Smigiel is the one the paper is talking about. In addition to teaching, Tommy is actively involved in Norfolk Democratic politics and serves on the State Central committee as a representative from the 2nd Congressional district. Tommy has worked tirelessly in Delegate Paula Miller’s campaigns.
Congrats to Tommy on being named Norfolk’s Teacher of the Year!
