Congresswoman Thelma Drake held another of her virtual Town Hall meetings this evening. I just found out about it – when I checked my answering machine. The call came in while we were on another call. (No, we don’t have call waiting. Besides, I prefer answer call over call waiting anyday.)
I’m sorry I missed her. Guess I’ll have to catch up at another time. I’m glad, though, that Representative Drake continues to reach out to her constituents.

You are a generous soul Vivian. Being one of those “dangerous” demonstrators who have attempted to deliver petitions and/or letters to Drake’s office requesting that she consider the viewpoints of the majority of her constituents and the American people…i.e. wanting her to support withdrawing from Iraq and NOT support escalating the conflict in Iraq….well, it’s hard to be so generous when she has used her publicly funded office to THREATEN constituents who disagree with her with arrest for TRESPASSING….and continuing to have a landlord that will arrest folks who are only attempting to communicate with their representative…..
Thelma continues to disregard her constituents and remains a rubber stamp for Bush, Cheney and the special interests of corporations such as Haliburton….
Thelma’s just trying to shore up what base she has b/c she knows the next election may well be her last as long as the Democrats ut up a decent candidate….and not another “thelma lite Kellam type of candidate”….
