According to the Virginian Pilot, Norfolk city manager Regina Williams has taken a temporary leave of absence to be with her husband, Drew, while he seeks treatment at John Hopkins University Hospital.
I last saw Drew at Senator Yvonne Miller’s golf tournament last fall. I used to see him a lot, when both of us were active in Norfolk United Facing Race. Drew got involved with the group almost immediately after they arrived in Norfolk in 1999.
My thoughts and prayers are with the Williams family. I hope Drew gets better soon.
