Farlow picks up endorsement

This just in:

Dear fellow community members,

Like you, we have grown tired of seeing our local elected officials fail to bring back results for our communities, year after year. For this reason, I am pleased to announce the York County Professional Firefighters endorsement of Troy Farlow for the 96th District seat.

The York County Professional Firefighters have made an unprecedented move in endorsing a candidate this early in the race, but we felt compelled to do so because we strongly believe that he is the best candidate for this seat. He understands the importance of our work, and will help fight for the essential legislation which protects our Firefighters and other First Responders. It is essential that we elect someone who understands the value of these services to our communities.

A native Virginian, Troy’s background in finance and his experience running a small business means he will bring a common sense approach to the problems we face in this area. He believes that our representatives can do better, and we believe he is the one who can make that happen.

Please visit his website at http://www.troyfarlow.com to volunteer your time, make a donation, or find out more about where he stands on the issues.

On behalf of the proud professional woman and men who serve the citizens of York County 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.

Thank you,

Don Dinse
President

Congrats, Troy!

  1. Lets just state some facts:

    1) Troy Farlow was never a successful business man on the shore, I don’t think it even lasted a year, during the height of the building boom on the shore

    2) Troy considers himself wall street banker. He spent 5 months in NYC, the first 2 volunteering by getting coffee and the next 3 in aquistions and mergers. I don’t think 3 months on the job qualifies as wall street experience.

    3) Troy was never a community leader on the shore. Never held any office or did any community volunteerism, except help L. Lewis with his campaign. Troy is such an embarrassment to the shore. I think you will be hard pressed to see Lewis endorse him for the 96th District. Lewis did not formally endorse Troy when he tried to run for the 2nd District. What a joke.

    3) Troy claims he went to Duke Grad School. He obvisiously was only there for a short time because according to an AP story he was laid off from PriceCooper in the spring of 2001. And we all know he left to go to Wall Street after 9/11/01. So he could have only been enrolled in the summer or got accepted in the fall and then never went because he went to go work on Wall Street for 5 months after 9/11/01. According to a book written in 2003, Troy states he drove overnight to Duke to meet with the head of the business school and she extended the enrollment by 15 days just for Troy with, by his own admission, a 2.4 gpa from Elon and he had not even taken the GMAT or GRE. Come On! As competitive as Duke is they let in Troy Farlow with a 2.4 gpa and no entrance exam. What about all of the people who filed properly with a 3.0 or better and acceptleable entrance exam from the GMAT or GRE, and did not get in. And they accepted Troy Farlow. Folks, I think Troy maybe applied and got denied. Troy is good at exaggerating the facts.

  2. Troy Farlow is not experienced enough to pull off an election win. The people of the ES, except for a small percentage, even know who he is. Businessman or Consultant?, ask Mr. Farlow what he has done to qualify him as an “ES” Businessman or Consultant. Does he actually have a job? What has he done to represent the ES as for as community involvement or leadership? You can’t win alone by being Lynwood Lewis’s former aide. I don’t care if you are a Dem or Rep, one has to be able to prove that they have some work experience and volunteer/leadership experience in a district that they are claiming to want to represent? If things happen like they are rumored to with regards to Rerras, Mr. Farlow will run as a “Former US Congressional Candidate”. Come On! Lets get real here
