Ralph Northam, our next senator from the 6th district, will be filing his financial report showing about $100,000 raised since the last reporting period. This brings his total raised to $270,000! The report will also show about $210,000 cash on hand as of May 30. Way to go, Ralph!
As of the end of the last reporting period, incumbent Senator Nick Rerras had almost $50,000 less on hand than Northam. While I’m not privy to his numbers (who would have guessed? 🙂 I did receive a letter from Rerras asking for a contribution, though) I will be surprised if Rerras has come close to matching Northam’s fundraising totals for these two months.
We’ll know soon enough. The reports have to be filed by midnight tomorrow, June 5 tonight, June 4.
