So I’m perusing Waldo’s Virginia Political Blogs Aggregator and run across a posting by the fine folks over at VPAP that mentions that the latest $10,000+ contributions to PACs is up. I click on the link – broken š¦ Nevertheless, I located the report and notice that the list goes all back to October 2006.
As I’m looking down the list, I see that there is one contributor named William Jefferson who donated to Moving Virginia Forward, Tim Kaine’s PAC. Uh oh, I thought. After all, it’s been all over the net today that Congressman William Jefferson of Louisiana was indicted on 16 counts, including racketeering, soliciting bribes, wire fraud, money laundering, obstruction of justice and conspiracy.
As it turns out, the contributor was not that William Jefferson.
Whew! š I was about to ask if the money came with freezer burn š
