Whew! That’s a lot of races. By my count, 90 people are involved in primary races throughout the Commonwealth of Virginia. Personally, I appreciate the willingness of folks to offer themselves for public service. Tomorrow, more than half of these folks will be disappointed but we should applaud them all for putting themselves out there.
Pat Herrity? Please, tell me this isn’t a relative of Jack Herrity. Please.
Oh but it is. Sorry VAB.
You’re picking Joannou over Light, eh? Hope you’re wrong, we’ll see by the end of the evening.
Pat is the son of Jack Herrity
Well, I jumped in my van bright and early this morning to go do my civiv duty and vote for Henry Light. Low and behold – my usual polling place was closed… Not a sign – nada – telling me where the new polling place was! Stopped and asked six people in the community and they didn’t know – evidence that they were not intending to vote…
Went back home, opened the newspaper – no polling place locations published… BUT there WAS a web page where you could go and find your polling place.
It was
“www.sbe.virginia.gov/cms/voter_information/where_do_i_vote/polling_place_lookup_request.asp”.
Ain’t this some BS? Glad I didn’t have to pronounce that. Can you believe that one has to type all this in your web browser just to find your polling place??? After a couple of tries I finally did get it typed in correctly and went there.
Went there and the place was like a morgue. I did my civic duty and now I find that Vivian has picked Joannou over Light… Should have stayed in bed …
Was #35, at 4pm, in what I am pretty sure is Bob James’ polling station. I suspect that a challenger would have to generate more of a turnout to have a chance.
Goodbye, Marty Williams!
oops you were wrong on Marty Williams and Emmet Hanger. Looks like the days of liberal, tax-raising turncoat Republicans in Name Only is coming to an end. Even Walter Stosch only got in by the skin of his teeth.
Um Frank – Hanger won.
