WSJ: Happy Blogiversary

The Wall Street Journal has an interesting post on the 10-year anniversary of blogs. The column includes posts from 12 commentators on what blogs mean to them. Interesting is which blogs the commentators read: Mia Farrow likes BoingBoing.net, Newt Gingrich reads RedState.com (no surprise there), and Tom Wolfe doesn’t read blogs at all.

  1. And no one reads Tom Wolfe at all, so that works out. I’d have liked to see at least a couple of those spots given to those were “blogging” then, and still are, in some form.

  2. On a completely different topic, but related via the WSJ, did you see the article on page B2, “Tax Strategy for 401(k)s Holding Company Stock”?

That could be quite a boon for some of your clients, eh?

  3. Um, no, I didn’t see that. I don’t actually read the WSJ 😉 But to comment on that article (available here, I think that would work with other appreciating assets in retirement accounts but I’d have to look it up. Most of my clients do not have company stock in their 401(k) accounts.
