Rerras speaking at RPVB breakfast

Nick RerrasTomorrow morning, State Senator Nick Rerras (R-6th) will be the speaker at the Republican Party of Virginia Beach’s breakfast. The meeting is at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, 4453 Bonney Road, Virginia Beach. 8:00 AM, doors open, 8:30 AM.

Now I understand that the meetings are for Republicans only and that no recording devices are allowed. I have to wonder: what do they have to hide? Shouldn’t the event be open to the public? And, given that this is campaign season, shouldn’t a recording of the event be allowed?

Somebody help me out here.

  1. #19. A more accurate statement would be that the Republicans previously excluded everyone else, including VBDems, but backed down when Vivian called them out on it in her blog. Thanks, Vivian.

As for Brian complaining about people getting personal, there’s not a lot to say. His words speak for themselves. Typical Brian: “More liberal name-calling. Morons!”

  2. Gee, Brian, I guess I misinterpreted a post about how someone was recording and was asked to leave. Something about Ken Stolle saying we have freedom of association. Funny how those kinds of incidents and statements get taken out of context.

  3. This from a Republican political consultant whose avocation or vocation (we don’t know which) is to hang out on Democratic blogs, carping and sniping, then complain when Democrats go to Republican meetings.

  4. Advice from the kindergarten teacher: Ignore him and he’ll go away. You give him much more attention than he deserves.

  5. Aw, come on, you guys. I like Brian. He’s great sport. You lob a ball to him. He swings at it, misses it, and it is so funny to watch. The only problem with Brian is that in the interest of making for at least a somewhat competitive play, you have to explain over and over and over again how it was that the swings he takes are misguided and wrong. That part’s not fun.
