I stopped by the Willoughby Spit Civic League Fish Fry Wednesday evening, where Barbara Saunders, former (and future?) candidate for City Council in Ward 1, is the new civic league president. Also there was 6th Senate District incumbent Nick Rerras and 87th House District challenger Hank Giffin. While I didn’t have a chance to talk to Rerras, I did get a chance to talk to Giffin.
Even on this hot and sticky evening, there was a good crowd of folks there. It’s always good to see neighbors hanging out together. I talked briefly with Bill Kerry about the status of the Bay Oaks Park situation.
I didn’t partake of the fish (not much of a fish eater) but the hot dogs were top notch – Hebrew Nationals!
