1. We see racism is still alive. Why haven’t CNN and the other station told this story. They are to busy trying to run O.J. down in the mud.
   This is just another case and I’m glad the march is taking place. I would have went myself if I knew the date. Why didn’t the news media tell about this march. We will see how much they cover this story. I’m so sick of hearing about Duke until I don’t even watch 5 and 11. They run the stories on the white people but not the social injustice blacks are facing. The new media is racist as well and we need to boycott them and stop watching the new stations. I am thankful for Jessie Jackson and Al Sharpton. If it wasn’t for them white people would do alot of stuff and get away with it.

2. what makes you think that mr. lucus in white because he disagrees with the idea that black thugs should get away simply because master sharpton and master jackson are now involved. please and for oj give me a break you have got to be kidding me, but thats right he killed two whites one of which was a jew so that is ok in your eyes i take it. it is only a hate crime when performed against blacks by whites. what about the hispanics that are being assualted by the blacks in richmond but thats different huh, they are brown not truely black, but you do have one thing in common with them, neither of your groups can talk, chat or blog with out cursing. way to go you much more educated people.

3. After we get the charges dropped against the Jena 6, we then need to move on to Las Vegas and get the charges against O. J. dropped and then onto Richmond and get all charges against M. Vick thrown out.

4. Brenda and DT Brown are perfect examples of why rational minded people, and many times rational minded conservatives stop paying attention to situations like this. They screams crazy things like.

   Free OJ, Free Vick.. or the media is racist. If anything Brenda, the media leans left, erroring on the side of liberals. IE, when the Duke case first began. Correct me if I’m wrong, but all assumed the Duke were guilty. Even Time magazine ran a big article on it, early on. It wasn’t until later, we realized we had a DA who was pandering the the left leaning media, fueling the fire. But enough said on that, we should judge things not on skin color but on actual facts and events. So OJ and Vick, looks like they are both going down based on the “facts”. I could care less what color their skin is. And the “Jena 6” Well, they do deserve to be punished for beating a kid, but from what I read the charges are definately too extreme. But the both of you, crying things the way you do. Just like Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton do. It’s called the victim mentality. I’m always the victim. It’s even joked about in movies now adays. But this type of mentality, makes me go away and stop listening to the rants of these irrational emotional people. So if you want to have a voice, please be rational, it will get our attentions, and won’t lose our attentions, and your emotional rants will.

5. Jaquan, we know that is not your real name, so please stop trying to speak for blacks as if you were really one. The misspelled words was a nice try, too. But to the point at hand: No matter what you try to call those young men (thugs?), it still does not justify sending them to prison for a fist fight. If there was a gun or knife involved, maybe I would consider them thugs as well, but there were only fists and shoes involved. So please consider your own children when you so easily judge and toss away someone else. If the state of Jena so easily tried to dismiss these young men’s lives – think of how many are sitting in jail right now for spitting or yelling at a white person. hmmm?

6. I’m from California and have lived in Louisiana almost 4 years. What’s wrong here is that the majority of people don’t believe that slavery ended when it did. The Juvenile justice department is behind, years behind. The Adult Correction center is years behind. The alleged crime is not what these children are being punished for, they’re being punished for not being subservient. They’re being punished for standing up and protecting themselves and their rights. If we have the right to bear arms, why not the right to if necessary physically protect yourself? It’s ok for people to drive around here with shotguns in their truck windows and to have a little black mammy doll tied to the bumper of their car with their confederate flag hanging out of the window, but some would have you to believe that it’s not ok for me to be upset about it. That’s bull..These boys, all of them did what kids around the entire nation do when they’re fed up with being harrassed and bullied. I have teenage boys and I wish my son would come home and say these people hung nooses under a tree he and his friends sat at, that they constantly call him n****r ( which is very ignorant for a white person or a black person to call another black person – the dictionary defines the word n****r as – ignorant, that could be anyone of any color) I’d be ready to go fight with him. Our great grandparents didn’t endure slavery so that we would again fall victim to SLAVERY!!! In 2007 slavery is in how you think. We have white people here who believe that we are nothing, but they get upset to see that we can do better than they thought. We have black people here that are so used to believing everything that a white person says that they can’t think for themselves. Young Mr. Bell SHOULD NOT be incarcerated for giving this boy a black eye and a good butt whooping. The other 5 boys SHOULD NOT be incarcerated for protecting themselves – PERIOD. When the shotgun was presented what happened to those boys? NOTHING! When the nosses were hung what happened to those boys? NOTHING! Does the school not have cameras? Was any of this documented? I doubt it. Being a parent with children in school in LA I see first hand that a lot of the ADULTS, TEACHERS don’t listen to these kids at all. It’s irrelevant to them what these kids are trying to tell them. LOUISIANA had better start listening, LOUISIANA had better hurry up and catch up to the East and West coasts. You’re failing our children. Hate begat Hate, Racism begat Racism. People need to teach their children that it’s ok to get along with eachother, no one race is better than another. This is ridiculous!!

10. Thank you BlessedX8 for a clear and concise depiction of the facts. At the end of the day, I would like to see people of all races and nationalities connecting on common ground and realize that we all are apart of this great country we call America. It sickens me to hear of the injustice that has taken place in Jena–those young men were standing up for themselves–it was their right to protest–yet for doing the right thing (peacefully) they were attacked with more hate. The prosecutor in this case is no different from the Lacrosse case prosecutor–and should step down and let someone else take over.

11. You’re very welcome. ComeonPeople!. I can’t stress enough how this is wrong and the people of Louisiana know that this is wrong. I wasn’t raised to hate people. This is how I raise all of my children. The DA in this case needs to be unemployed, I agree. He had no right to go to the school and threaten those children – whomever he was addressing. What situation causes the DA to go to a high school? This is twisted. Governor Blanco needs to step in as well.

12. My…my…my. In almost every msg I’ve seen excessive anger, fear, and/or defensiveness, which shows in some degree (some more than others), a lack of God. Why is so much negative energy being exhausted to entertain Jaquan’s comments? What does one acheive by disputing with and defending against “ignorance”? Why waste your time allowing someone else to get a rise out of you by giving them your attention, and opionion by defending “the cause” or “black people” to someone who obviously doesn’t know or understand (meaning ignorant) the true issue here. It’s also obvious that many of you don’t either. It’s not about black or white…..that’s just the surface, the playing field. The real underlying issue here is “sin and ignorance”. When wrong (in this case, sin and ignorance)is done, you acknowledge it, educate, discipline, and take action to correct the problem….and while attempting to do this…”praying” the whole time that God will reveal to them the errors of there ways that they might come into the knowledge and understanding….and be changed. There’s security in knowing who you are, but even more in knowing “who’s” you are. Therefore I very rarely find a need to defend “myself” or my character….because of the “confidence” I have in (Christ) who’s I am. I pray for God to give us all a clearer understaning and a forgiving heart in this matter…..and Jaquan, I pray for you even moreso.

    If most of what you wrote was in response to me…How you’ve managed to get ALL of what you’ve said from what I wrote and stated….I have no idea. Sounds like a lot of hurt and anger. Instead of having an educated, intellectual conversation or even a debate…. you lash out with degrading and stereotypical statements, which really have no validity on an individual basis. But as I stated before, I’m confident in who I really am. Far from perfect, but always striving to be better everyday. Just between you and I…..go back an re-read what I wrote…and then think about how you came back with this entire negative response. What does all of that have to do with the issue. I actually was writing to us all….. but I can see that you took it personally…..and definitely in the wrong direction. For reasons such as this, much prayer is needed. Know this, some people really are what they say they are, even if they ain’t all that. You need a hug brother. I don’t even know you. But If no one else tells you, God loves you…………and so do I.
