Ralph Northam, the next senator from the 6th district, has more than a $140,000 cash advantage over incumbent Nick Rerras, now that Rerras has filed his reports. According to the SBE (not yet available on vpap), Rerras has $239,814 on hand while Northam has the aforementioned $380,000 – actually, $380,678.
On top of the money, I’m hearing that Northam did a great job at last night’s debate on the Eastern Shore. I understand that the debate was broadcast live on ES TV stations and that the newspapers on over there covered it. In particular, I’m told that the Northam successfully refuted every point in the negative mail piece that Rerras sent out last weekend. I hope to get my hands on a copy of the video of last night’s performance and will post it when I do.

“ES TV stations”? The only stations are across the line in Maryland.
VPAP posted the September numbers at 5:30 p.m. yesterday:

I don’t live on the ES so I have no idea what stations are over there. I was told it was broadcast on the ES, so I assumed that there were stations over there.
Thanks, David. I saw that 🙂 I used your numbers for my post yesterday. And when I posted this morning, I still didn’t see Rerras’ numbers on vpap.
Of course, given the 5:00pm filing deadline, I guess Rerras filed late.
