Lowell over at RK and Ben at NLS have both posted their predictions for some races in this year’s elections. Lowell’s list is more extensive, while Ben focuses on the ones where he sees the party changing.
I’m still amazed at how few folks I talk to at various events have been paying attention to the races down here. Sure, the party folks are aware but it seems that the election just hasn’t penetrated the consciousness of the masses, which is a shame since we’ve got some great candidates in Hampton Roads. One, Steve Heretick, was the focus of a story in today’s Virginian-Pilot.
After today’s tax filing deadline, I’ll be helping out the campaigns down here as much as I can. And I predict that there will be some surprises in Hampton Roads π
vivian you know I will acknowledge that yard signs don’t vote- no problem and you know I hope like H— Northam has a ground game second to none. I am not however just counting the yard signs I am actively in the field door to door everyday and believe me Norfolk is hard. I have many years experience at this as you know and Norfolk has me very confused and no sense of any direction.
Let’s hope for the best and I am out everyday doing my part.
Bill,
I am also in the 1st represented by Oder also and getting no votes from him on my issues, however I will do a write -in vote because the independent Pelkey is to the right of Oder. So I will write my wife’s name in the block. A good way to keep peace at home!!!!
Chap! Petersen will defeat Jeannemarie Devolites-Davis in the 34th.
Personally, I like all the Fall campaign signs, they go so well with mums, pumpkins and ghosts, goblins and scarecrows.
I can’t vote for Oder either but we both know that Pelkey won’t win, so why not vote for him, if for no other reason than to scare “Bushy-eye-brow-Glenn” into listening to constituents? Pelkey’s not a bad guy. Young and shares our disgust with the Republican power hungry politicians.
You do have to wonder what political hacks like Victoria (Stall’s campaign manager) and Kirwin (Marty Williams reason for losing) will do for a living after the Republicans lose control. It will be obvious to anyone with a grain of sense, that these are the people who caused the downfall. If I were them, I’d practice, in front of a mirror, saying, “Would you like fries with that M’am?”. Practice makes perfect.
