thanks for the plug, viv. This is a great opportunity to spend some time with our candidate, John Miller.
Bobby Scott is always so supportive of our Democratic candidates here on the peninsula.
So come on out and have some great food.
Oh. let’s see…John Miller, running where he needs as many crossover Republican votes as possible, What to do just days before the election? Have a meet-up with ultra-ultra left, Bobby Scott!
Maybe the Miller campaign thinks the election is in the bag, but doing a duet with Bobby Scott is like waving a red cape in front of a bull.
How about a photo-op with Al Sharpton while you’re at it?
Dumb move, Miller campaign. Why don’t you just give the conservative voters the finger while you are at it? Good grief! What were you thinking?
The area where the function is going to be is the denbigh and epes precincts. We need to get these folks out to vote and meet miller.
So what is the problem? None.
Miller’s HQ is in a heavily republican area and we have people coming into the HQ daily who are not democrats to ask and talk to John. You have to be visible in all areas of the city.
Clairese – while you are entitled to your opinion, I find it offensive that you would attempt to link Congressman Bobby Scott with Al Sharpton. Have you ever seen Scott stand up with Sharpton on anything? No.
Second thing is that Miller needs the Democrats to turn out as well. To ignore that vote would be ridiculous.
Finally – did you see where Miller went to Poquoson last night? Not exactly the Democratic base out there.
Candidates have to run everywhere. And they have to use their endorsements by other people of influence to help them with different groups. I think it is a testament to the Miller campaign that they have the support of folks like Bobby Scott and a Republican friend of mine, who has a Miller sign on one side of his driveway and a Glen Oder sign on the other. (He tells me that is the “politically correct” position amongst his Republican friends.)
I’m curious how many campaigns Clairese Lippincott has run? She thinks she is an expert on them and offers her extensive and boring advice to ad nasuem.
How many campaigns have you run?
It would seem that with your extensive background, you would be busy running campaigns this close to the election. Instead, here you are, wasting time at the keyboard.
I don’t want to quable with anyone, but I , as the one who sets up the precincts in Newport News, for the committee, knows the demographics. Why ignore the dems? They are his base for goodness sakes. I work Epes and the turnout is usually good.
So this one is for them. They need to meet John too.
So see you all on Saturday.
