The Republican YouTube debate is at 8pm this evening on CNN.
While CNN producers won’t say which 40 or so questions are going to make the cut, viewers can expect to see divisive questions, controversial questions, and questions that will set the candidates apart.
Really? I guess we’ll find out soon enough.
That is, if I can stay awake 😉
After spending most of the day with great democrats (check out virginiadem.org ) I’m listening to the R’s … they’re busy taking it out on “aliens” … no taxes … government is BAAAAAAD …
I missed the first half hour, but I’m here now . . .
RD – you haven’t missed much. Shawn has it exactly right 😉
Now they’ve gone to GUNS …Abortion (oops don’t jail the woman or her family … just the doctor? … each of the candidates are old enough to remember back room abortions and crossing state lines …. GOD … “Jesus was too smart to ever run for public office” … Do you believe everything in “This Book” (The Bible) …
Didn’t you just love the answers to that one? 🙂
Interesting, either Democrats/Lefties didn’t submit questions, or CNN seems to have weeded them out (with the possible exception of the punishment for abortion question, that seemed kinda stealthy-Left).
Still, an interesting discussion of what Republicans really believe. My gut tells me the GOP is out of step with ordinary Americans and the things I’ve seen tonight reinforce that thought.
Well, they claim they had a lot more questions submitted for this debate than they did for the Democratic debate.
Still waiting for the “divisive questions, controversial questions, and questions that will set the candidates apart.”
Well, I guess the gay general question is the controversial one.
Now they’ve hit the republican trifecta GUNS, GOD, GAYS …
NO TAXES …
attack government
attack “aliens”
attack Social Security
attack anyone who is a little different
attack public schools
Duncan Hunter is downright disgusting.
Thank goodness, it’s over.
I have to say that John McCain sounded like the only sane one up there.
I agree … John McCain was sane …. but at some point Ron Paul might bring up the reason we and he were in Vietnam was to stop the “domino” threat … now we need to stay in Iraq to stop the “islamic” threat? … or perhaps the monthly spending in Iraq (over $10 billion) vs. say spend double what we do each year on the Coast Guard ($8.2 billion) …. and he’ll go over the edge too
Does Romney have his own opinion on anything – or does he plan to rely on the “experts” to tell him what his opinion should be?
I’ll have to consult some “experts” on that
🙄
