No charges to be filed in MySpace suicide

MySpace logoI first became aware of the suicide of a young MySpace user about 10 days ago and it prompted this post. Monday, CNN reported that no charges would be filed in the 13-year-old’s death.

Asked whether he is satisfied with laws pertaining to the case, [ St. Charles County, Missouri, Prosecuting Attorney Jack] Banas said, “The bottom line is there are some — I think — loopholes that I think need to be cleaned up.”

I agree.
