Talk about schizophrenia! Look at the latest Gallup poll results. The most admired man in the US? President George Bush. The most admired woman? NY Senator and Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton.
According to the AP:
The poll, released Wednesday, asked participants an open-ended question, allowing them to respond with any names that came to mind. The rest of the votes were spread among a wide variety of government figures, movie stars, friends and relatives. Queen Elizabeth II was in the top 10 for a record 41st time.
The poll of 1,011 adults was taken between Dec. 14 and 16 and had a margin of sampling error of plus or minus 3 percentage points.
Obviously, they didn’t call me 😦 So, who would you pick?

People feel good with someone they know good or bad bush and bill clinton makes you feel good with commmon talk, i think hillary won because of bill.
Bush? Admired? Are you (@#@#ing kidding me? Did they dial Poland or something for this survey? Seriously, what kind of fundamental character flaw do you have to have to admire that man?
And Hillary? Good god. I can see some admirable things about here, but out of all the women in the US?
Stupidity. It’s part of the human condition, I guess.
MB – good to see you back 😉
“i think hillary won because of bill.”
Yeah sure. Because I mean, okay, your husband and the father of your child had an affair behind your back in his office downstairs from where you live with a girl of dubious parts, and everyone knows about it, and you probably felt publicly humiliated by it, and for some reason it’s like several million people actually blame *you* for your husband cheating, but look at the bright side, at least he’s really cool?
W most admired? For what? Warmongering? Oy.
MB,
it just shows how uninformed, out of touch and bias you are!
Bush won with 10%, y’all. And Hillary got 18%. Neither number is overwhelming.
My choice for most admired male would be Clarence Thomas. Female — Susan Polgar.
For me…
Most Admired Male: My father
Most Admired Female: (besides my wife) Vivian J. Paige 😉
Thank you, Vivian. I didn’t read the poll — but still, 10% is 10% too much. Clearly, I’m still thawing out.
For Clarence Thomas, I’d have thought he’d win the Strongest Man competition. You’d have to be, carrying a chip that big for so long . . .
Phil, flattery may just get you somewhere 😀
MB – don’t you mean 10% is 100% too much? After all, 10% of 10% is 1% 🙂
omg, bush only got 10%? but he is mr. 25% in the polls.
gallup isn’t quoted much anymore. even cnn doesn’t use they for their polls. they are a right leaning whatever. their polling is flawed. usually ask majority of repups.
so this means little.
yes linda b, the polls are flawed only when they don’t agree with you. Typical Dem hypocrisy.
Yes bill is cool.
I think from now on I will ignore rlewis’ responses. I am sure to be in better shape due to this change.
With no substance, and only his/her own blindness guiding them, I feel like I can’t really continue to address these comments of no substance.
Yeah, and welcome back, MB. 🙂
