I caught the end of the Republican debate and most of the Democratic debate. On the Republican side, it seemed that Mitt Romney was ganged up on by John McCain and Mike Huckabee. On the Democratic side, it seemed that Hillary Clinton was ganged up on by Barack Obama and John Edwards.
Nothing earth-shattering, and certainly nothing new.
So, who do you think won?

Huh. This may be the first documented case of political insanity jumping the national identidity gap.
It had a very unorganized sense to it but I did enjoy Richardson’s sense of humor!
Who believesTV’s bias and how can everything be covered in xx amount of minutes?
All I know is, our country is in trouble and Ron Paul has that interest at heart! That’s why they kept interrupting and scoffing at him (they know his voting record and what he stands for–The Constitution!) and when he did finally finish a statement, the only one who attempted a response, after a very noticeable lapse, was FThompson.
MRomney gave me a creepy foreboding I never noticed before…
How can anyone call Ron Paul crazy when 1) He’s for the most part ignored, 2) Only Kucinich gets lamer questions, and 3) He’s never allowed to finish what he’s saying?
Thank god the man has written several books and some great speeches, otherwise no one would know anything about him. Obviously, he’s appealing to the thoughful, brainy contingent who took the time to look into what he’s all about.
The debates are like professional wrestling! Very much staged and scripted and as phony as the outcome of a wrestling match!
The questions were stupid and light weight! ..No wonder the American public is so misinformed about what’s actually going on in America, politically!
I never believed in giant conspiracies before! But I am becoming a believer!
The national media and the front runners all belong to the same club of “Deception Unlimited!
The one candidate that exposes all the other candidates as being insincere in their new found positions, is Dennis Kusinich! Only Dennis talks the talk and walks the walk! And he has done so from day one Because Dennis is not a hypocrite, he embarasses the front runners and exposes them for the hypocrates that they are!
The front runners voting records expose them as liars and deceivers that can’t be trusted!
The fact that the moderators do not expose this duplicity, leads me to think that it is one big conspiracy!
Clinton usually does well in debates. She quick and intelligent. On a good day she can run circles around almost anybody. But this was not a good day for her. If she had kept her cool she would have done pretty well. But she started to become noticeably frustrated and showed her unpleasant side.
Either Edwards or Obama won. They both performed very well. Edwards was more energetic and forceful, but Obama was more charming. I guess it depends on which style you prefer. It’s almost like RFK and JFK are running against each other. Passionate progressive populist Vs. charismatic liberal charmer — basically, that’s the choice.
As for the Republican debate: I think Huckabee was great! And that’s saying something, because I really can’t stand the guy’s politics. They way he talked about the concept of “change” was exactly what he needed to do to keep his momentum. Essentially he came out and said “I’m the conservative Obama.” It was brilliant.
V., I apologize in advance for anything I did to contribute bringing the Paultards to your space here.
“I guess it depends on which style you prefer.”
It’s all about style, isn’t it?
MB – from here on out, try to refrain from mentioning his name 😉
