Well, I’ll make that pick next week 🙂 In the meantime, let’s take a look at this weekend’s matchups.
On the AFC side, we have the New England Patriots playing at home against the San Diego Chargers. I really had hopes that the Colts were going to be playing in this game, since I think Peyton Manning is a tremendously talented QB. Unfortunately, a QB can’t win the game alone, so we have the Chargers to try to upset the undefeated Pats.
Not going to happen. The Patriots are going to be the AFC champs. The only question is how big of a win it will be. I’d say its the Patriots by at least 10.
The Green Bay Packers play host to the New York Giants in the NFC Championship game. At least this is going to be a competitive game. The Giants managed to knock off the Cowboys at home last week. But don’t expect any such miracles in Lambeau Field. While they will keep it close, Brett Favre will work his magic and lead his team to win by 1-3 points.

The best story would be Brett Favre pulling it out for the Packers in the final seconds and then riding off into the sunset.
I am going to have to pick the Patriots and the Giants to be winners this weekend.
i also agree with your picks – i like the patriots to destroy the chargers and the packers to win a tight game over the giants. i then think the patriots will win the superbowl by 10-17 points…something in there.
