The watch party locations in Arlington are interesting. The Obama watch party is at Bailey’s (a rather unappealing – but *large* – public bar). Hillary’s appears to be at Al Eisenberg’s home. Al lives a few blocks from me, and while he’s got a really lovely home, it’s not exactly . . . the place for a giant party. FWIW.
The Caucus-Watching party after Iowa was in Bailey’s, too–the same night as the Virginia Tech bowl game. It was both inconvenient and INCREDIBLY convenient in that when you’ve had too much politics to feel like a normal person, you can duck out and watch a football game that 60% of Virginians watched at least part of. Nothing makes you feel more normal than that.
Well, it was a good time at the VB party. I left a while ago but there were still folks there. Some of us have to go to work in the morning 😦
