Wednesday night, we were treated to performances by the 12 female finalists. The female field is a strong one. By far, the best performance of the night was that of Ramiele Malubay. I think she could go all the way. But I have to admit that Carly Smithson was a close second.
I’m always entertained by rockers, even if I don’t particularly care for the genre of music. Rocker girl Amanda Overmyer didn’t disappoint. She put on a good show.
The three blonds – Alaina Whitaker, Brooke White, and Kady Malloy – will have a tough time, given the inevitable comparisons to Carrie Underwood, the season 4 winner.
The two weakest candidates in my mind were Amy Davis (who is the Vote for the Worst candidate – or at least that’s what the website said last night) and Joanne Borgella. The latter’s performance really surprised me – I expected more from her.
