Brett Favre, the quarterback of the Green Bay Packers, announced his retirement Tuesday. The 17-year veteran, who started his career in Atlanta, leaves the game as the holder of records for touchdowns and passing yards.
I was afraid that he was going to retire this year, which is why I wanted so badly for the Packers to get to the Super Bowl. Favre was an exciting quarterback to watch, but the last couple of years, it was pretty easy to see that his skills were beginning to diminish. Nevertheless, the 38-year-old managed a career-high completion percentage this past season.
Thanks for the memories, Brett. You are going to be missed.

to bad he did not get in the last super bowl.
I’m certainly glad to have had the opportunity to see him play. He was entertaining as any player I’ve ever seen.
cool article pointer above vivian j – thanks for posting! i am a huge packer fan and was sad to see brett retire, but like he said all good things must come to and end. and for him hes ready to retire and good for him. it had nothing to do with players, nothing to do with injuries, nothing to do with the organization not wanting him. hes just ready to retire and did. congrats to him and thanks!
